BLAZONING OF THE KUNZ COAT OF ARMS
BLAZON (Wappen der Familie Kunz):
ARMS (Shield):

Chequy argent and sable, in middle chief an acorn or, in dexter base a column ionic of the first, in sinister base a torch flamant of the first, all paleways, 1 and 2
CREST (Helmet):
On a torse of the colors a falcon striking proper
MANTLE (Decken):
Not deScribed (Mantling is seldom deScribed and usually takes the Tinctures of the Shield)

MOTTO:
None recorded (It is rare for the German Achievement to deScribe a motto)

REFERENCE SOURCE:

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Chequy argent and sable - (Means the Shield is like that of a checkerboard (Chequy) with the 1st Square Silver (Argent = Silver (depicted as White)) & the adjacent Square is Black (Sable = Black) Note that the amount of Squares is immaterial as long as there are at least 20)
in middle chief an acorn or - (Means the checkerboard Shield has a Golden (Or=Gold) Acorn placed upon it & it is to be drawn upright (Paleways) & it will be placed in "middle Chief" (Viewers upper center) as deScribed)
in dexter base a column ionic of the first - (Means the Shield has a Silver (Of the 1st = 1st color mentioned, which was Argent (Argent=Silver (Depicted as White)) Greek Column (of the Ionic type (as opposed to Doric or Corinthian)) placed upon it & it is also to be drawn upright (Paleways) & it will be placed in "dexter base" (Viewers lower left) as deScribed)
in sinister base a torch flamant of the first - (Means the Shield has a Flaming (Flamant) Silver Torch placed upon it & it is also to be drawn upright (Paleways) & it will be placed in "Sinister Base" (Viewers Lower Right) as deScribed)
all paleways, 1 and 2 - (Means all the Charges (Acorn, Column, Torch) are to be oriented in the vertical plane & arranged with the 1st one (Acorn) in Chief (Top 1/3 of Shield (center is default)) and the last 2 (Column & Torch) in Base (2 & 1 is the standard (Default) arrangement but this (1 & 2) is opposite of the "normal" arrangement, which might be why it's arrangement was so precisely deScribed))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
A falcon striking proper - (Means that a Falcon that is "Swooping Down" after Prey (Striking) & is to be colored naturally (Proper = using all colors, not just the Heraldic colors). The Falcon is then affixed by the Torse (together with the Mantling) to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with its Visor closed, or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))

SYMBOLISM:
Acorn - (Antiquity & Strength)
Column (Ionic) - (Unknown)
Falcon - (One eager for an object much desired)
Flame - (Zeal)
Colors:
Argent (Silver) - (Peace and sincerity)
Or (Gold) - (Generosity)
Chequy (Checkerboard) - (Constancy)
Sable (Black) - (Constancy, sometimes grief)

Above Blazon (written description) only applies to large Emblazon (drawing).
