ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Or - (Means the Shield is Golden (Or))
two Fish Azure - (Means that 2 Blue (Azure) Fish will be added to the Shield)
crossed in Saltire - (Means the "attitude" or "orientation" of the fish is
such that, together, they form an "X" Cross (Saltire) & the "pre-eminent" Fish is the one facing
Dexter, which simply means that the Fish facing to the viewers left will be the one on top (which
may, or may not, mean anything))
CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a
cloth wreath (torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
a Vol per fesse - (Means that a pair of uplifted wings conjoined at the
base (Vol) and divided in half horizontally (Per Fess) are to be affixed to the Helm (Helmet))
alternately - (Means that the right portion of the Vol (Wing) is colored opposite to the left.)
