Per Fess - (Means the Shield is divided in half Fessways (Horizontally))
Gules over Argent - (Means the top half of the Shield is Red (Gules)
and the bottom half is Silver (depicted as White (Argent=Silver))
A Lion Rampant - (Means, in profile, a rampaging (Rampant) Lion (Male
unless otherwise deScribed) standing on one hind leg is placed upon the Shield)
Counterchanged - (Means the top half of the Lion has the colors of the
bottom half of the Shield and vice-versa)
CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a
cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
