REFERENCE SOURCE:

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Azure - (Means the Shield is Blue (Azure=Blue))
a two headed Eagle displayed argent - (Means a Silver (Argent=Silver) Eagle (Germanic style Heraldic Eagle) with 2 heads and upraised and outstretched wings (Displayed) is added to the Shield)
a bend gules charged with three mullets(6) of the second - (Means a Red (Gules=Red) wide diagonal "Strip" (Bend) is to be placed "on top of" everything else (Overall) & is to have three 6 pointed Stars (Mullets(6)) placed (Charged) upon it that are all colored Silver (of the 2nd = of the 2nd color mentioned, which was Silver (Argent)))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
a vol alternately azure and argent - (Means a pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base (Vol) of which its Dexter (its Right (Viewers left)) wing is Blue (Azure=Blue) & the other wing is Silver (Argent=Silver))
each wing charged with a mullett(6), the dexter of the last and the sinister gules - (Means each Wing of the Vol is to have a 6 pointed Star (Mullet) placed (Charged) upon it with its Dexter (its Right) Wing getting a Silver (of the Last = of the Last color mentioned, which was Silver (Argent)) & the other Wing (Sinister) gets a Red (Gules=Red) Star - this is then all affixed by the Torse (together with the Mantling), to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))

Bend - (Defense or protection)
Eagle (displayed) - (Protection)
Star (Mullet(5)) - (Divine quality from above - Old heraldic device)
