ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Gules - (Means the Shield is Red (Gules=Red))
Three mulletts argent - (Means 3 Silver (Argent=Silver) Stars (Mullett=5 pointed Star) are placed on the Shield in the usual arrangement (2 & 1))
a chief or - (Means the top 3rd of the Shield (Chief) is Golden (Or=Gold))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
Between a Vol proper a Spur or - (Means a Golden (Or=Gold) Spur goes between a "naturally colored" ( Proper) pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base, and this is all affixed by the Torse (together with the Mantling) to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with No Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by an Esquire/Commoner/Citizen)

SYMBOLISM:
Chief - (Dominion and authority)
Spur - (Preparedness for active service; pressing onward)
Star (Mullet) - (Divine quality from above; mark of cadency of the 3rd son)
Vol (Wings) - (Swiftness, protection, celebrity, or coverture)

Argent (Silver) - (Peace and sincerity)
Gules (Red) - (Military fortitude and magnanimity)
Or (Gold) - (Generosity)
