BLAZONING OF THE WIDMER COAT OF ARMS
BLAZON (Wappen der Familie Widmer):
ARMS (Shield):

Sable a demi antler of a stag paleways accompanied in chief by two mullets and the base portion of two demi-bezants and in base a third bezant all or
CREST (Helmet):
On a torse of the colors between a vol per fesse alternately or and sable a demi-antler as in the arms
MANTLE (Decken):
Not deScribed (Mantling is seldom deScribed unless other than the Primary Tinctures are to be used)

MOTTO:
None recorded (It is rare for the German Achievement to deScribe a motto)

REFERENCE SOURCE:
Burke's General Armory

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Sable a demi antler of a stag paleways - (Means the Shield is Black (Sable=Black) and has half an antler (demi) from a Stag affixed vertically (Paleways) to the Black Shield)
accompanied in chief by two mullets and the base portion of two half-bezants - (Means the Antler has 2 Stars (Mullets) and the bottom half (base portion) of two demi(half)-bezants with it (accompanied) in the top third (Chief) portion of the Shield - Note: a Bezant is a "Roundle" or a Golden Circle that represents coinage from the Crusades))
Note: Depending upon how the Heraldic "precedence rules" are interpreted, there may another way of Emblazoning (drawing) these Arms that is equally correct - so this very minor change is also provided by selecting among the 2 "Arms" choices at the top.
and in base a third bezant all or - (Means there is also a 3rd Bezant (Golden Roundle) that occupies the lower 3rd of the Shield (Base) and it, along with all the other things on the Shield (All) are Golden (Or=Gold))
So, we have a Black Shield with 2 Stars, a full Roundle, & 2 Half-Roundles surrounding an Antler (all Golden) placed upon it.

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
between a Vol - (Means "something", to be deScribed (by the Scribe) next, will go between a pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base (a Vol))
per fesse - (Means the Wings are divided in half horizontally)
alternately or and sable - (Means the top half of the left Wing is Gold (Or) and the bottom half is Black (Sable), and the right Wing is the opposite (Alternately)
a demi-antler as in the arms - (Means the same half-antler as in the Shield (Arms)) - this Antler and Vol is then affixed, by the Torse, together with the Mantling, to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with No Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))

SYMBOLISM:
Antler - (Strength and fortitude)
Bezant (Roundle) - (Worthy of trust of treasure)
Star (Mullet) - (Divine quality from above; mark of cadency of the 3rd son)
Vol (Wings) - (Swiftness, protection, celebrity, or coverture)
Colors:
Or (Gold) - (Generosity)
Sable (Black) - (Constancy, sometimes grief)
