BLAZONING OF THE STEINBACH COAT OF ARMS

BLAZON (Wappen der Familie Steinbach):
ARMS (Shield):

Per Bend azure over gules, in sinister chief, three mullets of six points or one and two, overall a bend wavy argent
CREST (Helmet):
On a torse of the colors a between a vol per fesse azure and gules, three mullets (6) or, overall a chevron inverted argent
MANTLE (Decken):
Not deScribed (Mantling is seldom deScribed unless other than the Primary Tinctures are to be used)

MOTTO:
None recorded (It is rare for the German Achievement to deScribe a motto)

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Per Bend - (Means the Shield is divided in half Diagonally (Bendwise))
azure over gules - (Means the top half will be Blue (Azure=Blue) and the bottom half will be Red (Gules=Red))
in sinister chief - (Means "something" to be DeScribed next (Stars) are to go in the viewers upper right corner (Sinister Chief))
three mullets of six points or one and two - (Means the top (Blue) half of the Shield will have 3 Golden (Or=Gold) 6 pointed Stars, which are to be placed 1 on top & 2 on bottom)
overall a bend wavy argent - (Means a wide, Silver (Argent=Silver), Undulating (Wavy), Diagonal "Stripe" is to be placed on top of everything (Overall))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
between a Vol - (Means a pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base)
per fesse - (Means the Wings are divided in half horizontally)
azure and gules - (Means the top half of the Wings are Blue (Azure=Blue) and the bottom half is Red (Gules=Red)
three mullets (6) or - (Means 3 Golden (Or=Gold) 6 pointed Stars (Mullets(6) is what is to be placed between the Wings)
overall a chevron inverted argent - (Means an "Upside-Down", Silver (Argent=Silver) Chevron is to be placed on top of everything (Overall)) - this Vol is then affixed, by the Torse, together with the Mantling, to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with No Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))
