REFERENCE SOURCE:
ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Per Fess - (Means the Shield is divided in half Horizontally)
1 argent a Bend sinister wavey azure - (Means the first (top half) of the Shield is
Silver (Argent=Silver) and it has a wide strip (Bend) that is "Wavey" and starts & ends opposite of normal (viewers
right to left (Sinister) & the Bend is Blue (Azure=Blue))
2 azure a Wolfs head argent - (Means the Bottom half of the Shield is Blue (Azure=Blue)
and has a Silver (Argent=Silver) Wolfs Head upon it)
CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
Out of a Crest coronet a Vol argent - (Means an upward pointing pair of Wings,
conjoined at the base (Vol) and colored Silver (Argent) are coming out of a crown-like device (Crest
Coronet - often called a "Ducal Coronet"), which has no significance other than being a device used
only for simple Helmet decoration or to signify Government Service - it's always drawn without jewels
and with only 3 of its 4 Strawberry leaves visible. This is all then affixed to the Helmet, which is
drawn in Profile with no Visor & no Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))
SYMBOLISM:
Bend - (Defense or protection)
Crown (Coronet) - (Authority)
Note: Because it isn't specifically deScribed in writing, it's unknown whether the Crest Coronet is just an
heraldic adornment (a common practice) or signifies Government Service (also a common practice).
Vol (Wings) - (Swiftness, protection, celebrity, or coverture)
Wolf - (One whom it is dangerous to assail or thwart)
Colors:
Argent (Silver) - (Peace and sincerity)
Azure (Blue) - (Loyalty and truth)
