ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Per fess - (Means the Shield is divided in half horizontally)
1st Per pale - (Means the 1st (Top) half of the Shield is again divided in half - Vertically)
argent a raven sable - (Means the (Viewers) left half of the Top portion of the Shield is Silver (Argent=Silver) and has a Black (Sable=Black) raven placed upon it)
gules three pales or - (Means the (Viewers) right half of the Top portion of the Shield is Red (Gules=Red) and has 3 Golden ( Or=Gold) Pales (Vertical "Stripes") placed upon it)
2nd azure - (Means the 2nd (Bottom) half of the Shield is Blue (Azure=Blue))
three estoiles or 2 and 1 - (Means the Shield has 3 Golden (Or=Gold) Stars (Estoile=Star - each of whose 6 rays are wavy) placed upon it & arranged 2 stars above 1 (2&1))
Overall a bendlet argent - (Means a narrow Bend (Diagonal "Stripe" (Bendlet)) that's Silver (Argent=Silver) is placed on top of (Overall) the 3 Stars in the bottom Blue field)

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
Between a vol azure - (Means the next thing deScribed will go between a pair of Blue (Azure=Blue) uplifted Wings conjoined at the base (a Vol))
an estoile or - (Means the thing that goes between the Wings of the Vol is a Golden (Or=Gold) 6 pointed Star (estoile) - this is then all affixed by the Torse (together with the Mantling), to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by an Esquire/Commoner/Citizen)
