REFERENCE SOURCE:

ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Or - (Means the Shield is Gold (Or = Gold))
upon a Mount of bricks Argent - (Means "something" will be placed upon a silver colored (Argent) Masonry Mound (Mount))
A Lion Rampant - (Means, in profile, a rampaging (Rampant) Lion (Male unless otherwise deScribed) standing on one hind leg is placed upon the Mound (Mount) & thence, upon the Shield)
Gules - (Means the Lion is red (Gules=Red) - Note: the Tongue, Talons, and another body part may be separately colored)
Holding in the paws a Millwheel of the latter - (Means exactly what it says, the Lion is holding a red (Gules=Red - last color deScribed) Millwheel (Large Gear Wheel used in Mills of all types) in his paws)

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
A Demi-Lion Rampant - (Means, in profile, the top half (Demi) of a rampaging (Rampant) male Lion)
with the Millwheel of the Arms - (Means the Lion, holding the same Red Millwheel (from the Shield (Arms)) Note: since the Lion was separately deScribed, it may take any color but should be Red. This is all affixed by the Torse (together with the Mantling) to the Helmet, which is drawn, in profile, with its Visor Closed, or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind that would be used by a Bürgerlich (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))

SYMBOLISM:
Lion - (Courage)
Mount - (Symbolism unknown - may be just an artistic charge)
Wheel (Millwheel) - (Fortune - cycle of life )
Colors:
Argent (Silver) - (Peace and sincerity)
Gules (Red) - (Military fortitude and magnanimity)
Or (Gold) - (Generosity)
