ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Per chevron - (Means the Shield is divided in half by a Chevron)
gules over or - (Means the top half of the Shield will be Red (Gules=Red) and the bottom half will be Golden (Or=Gold))
the last charged with a rose of the first - (Means the Golden (bottom) half (of the last (the 2nd (last) color mentioned is Gold (Or=Gold))) will have a Rose (Heraldic Rose) placed (Charged) upon it that is colored Red (Gules=Red (the 1st color mentioned)))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
A Vol - (Means a pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base)
per fesse - (Means the Wings are divided in half horizontally)
alternately gules and or - (Means the top half of the left (viewers left) Wing is Red (Gules) and the bottom half is Gold (Or), and the other Wing is the opposite (Alternately) - this Vol is then affixed, by the Torse, together with the Mantling, to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with No Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))
