a lion passant gules - (Means the Top half of the Shield has a Red (Gules=Red) lion standing on 3 legs (passant))
an eagle displayed of the first - (Means an Eagle with outstretched Wings (Displayed) & colored Silver (Of the 1st=1st color
mentioned, which was Silver (Argent)) is to go on the bottom half)
CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a
cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
