ARMS (Shield) INTERPRETATION:
Argent - (Means the Shield is Silver (Argent=Silver))
upon a Bend gules - (Means "something", which will be deScribed later, will go upon a Red (Gules=Red) diagonal (oriented (viewers) top to bottom, left to right) band (Bend) is added to the Shield)
two fleurs-de-lis bendways or - (Means 2 golden (Or=Gold) fleurs-de-lis are placed on the Bend and oriented in the usual manner (Bendways (from the (viewers) right to left))

CREST (Helmet) INTERPRETATION:
On a Torse of the colors - (Means the next thing deScribed will go upon a cloth wreath (Torse) of 6 twists, alternating between the primary tinctures)
a Vol - (Means a pair of uplifted Wings conjoined at the base (Vol))
charged with the arms of the shield - (Means the red Bend with the 2 fleurs-de-lis from the Shield goes upon (charged with the arms) each of the Wings of the Vol, and then it's all affixed by the Torse, together with the Mantling, to the Helmet, which is drawn in Profile with the Visor closed or with no Visor nor Grilles - the kind used by a "Bürgerliche" (Esquire/Commoner/Citizen))
